What does Monte cost?
$2 per active child, per month. That covers unlimited guides, staff, and classrooms, parent access for every family, and support, with no long-term contract. You only pay for children who are actually enrolled, so your bill follows your roll, not your ambitions.
What is the Founding Schools program?
The first 25 schools to join Monte become Founding Schools. You get two months free, your pricing locked in for two years, priority on the features you request, and direct access to the team building Monte. You also earn a free month for every school you refer, plus $200 once that school has been with Monte for eight months.
We already use something else. How hard is it to switch?
Easier than you are expecting. Monte has importing built in, so pulling in your rosters and your curriculum is a few guided steps rather than a data-entry project. If your current tool can export (Transparent Classroom, Brightwheel, Montessori Compass), Monte can take that file directly, and if your records live in spreadsheets, Google Drive, or a filing cabinet, we will do the move with you. Guides get a short orientation and families join with a one-tap invite.
Is Monte actually built for Montessori?
It's the whole point. Monte is built around observations, your albums and lesson sequences, prepared environments, and each child's progress through them, not a generic daycare checklist with Montessori words pasted on top. We help you load your own album so the planner and progress tracking match how your school actually works.
Can our guides try Monte before the school commits?
Yes. Guides can use Monte free on a limited basis: recording observations, child and parent profiles, the calendar, and environment management. It's a genuine way to see whether Monte fits your classroom before anyone signs anything.
Does Monte work when the wifi doesn't?
Yes. Monte is offline-first: guides can record observations, attendance, and daily care with no connection at all, and everything syncs the moment the device is back online. Classroom wifi should never be the reason a moment goes undocumented.
How do you protect our children's data?
Every child's information is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted on US-based servers with regular backups, and only ever visible to your school and that child's own family. Parents control what may be shared and where. We never sell it and never share it with anyone else.
What if we decide to leave?
You own your data, and you can export all of it whenever you like: children, observations, photos, attendance, and records. There are no exit fees and nothing is held hostage. We'd rather earn the next year than trap you in it.
Do you offer referral rewards?
Several. Schools earn a free month for every school they refer, plus $200. Guides earn $250 for introducing their director if the school signs up. Parents earn $100 for themselves and $200 for their school. Write a review and record a short video one, and we'll add a free month. Both $200 referral bonuses are paid once the referred school reaches eight months with Monte.
